March 30, 2009, the original CaliParti…where it all began:
It was the end of march and a group of friends headed to downtown Lexington for happy hour. Elated The University of Kentucky had hired John Calipari, this group was certainly ready to celebrate. WHAS 11 News happened to be on the scene and interviewed them. The phrase “CaliParti!” was coined in the interview, and it’s been CaliParti Time in The Bluegrass ever since.
