2010 Recruiting Prospects

I’m back baby!  It’s been a wild week with moving, law school, and trying to keep the office’s African Cichlid tank clean.  Whispers are everywhere about 2010 recuits (and beyond) so I figured I would give Caliparti fans an update on some of our top targets for next year.

Enjoy.

Brandon Knight

Brandon Knight

Brandon Knight (5 Star)
Ht: 6-3 Wt: 175

The number one overall prospect in the class of 2010, Knight is a scoring point guard.

Per Scout:

One of the nation’s finest prospects. Won the Gatorade National POY as a junior. Can flat out score and is tracking as a big, scoring point man. Shoots it on the move, from different areas and with accuracy and confidence. Excellent student as well. Has a winner’s resume and will be ready to step in and lead a big time time program the moment he arrives on campus. Athletic build, diverse offense and upside.

It is widely believed that Knight has narrowed his list to UK, Miami, and UCONN

Josh Selby (5 Star)
Ht: 6-2 Wt: 180

Another highly ranked point man with a knack for putting the ball in the hoop.  Originally committed to Tennessee, Selby recently opened his recruitment back up and UK is considered the favorite for his services. (With possible help from World Wide Wes??)

Doron Lamb (5 Star)
Ht: 6-4 Wt: 175

An absolute surgeon from the three point line, Lamb is a high priority target for UK.  Lamb currently plays at Oak Hill Academy which is a historical UK pipeline for elite players.

Roscoe Smith (4 Star)
Ht: 6-7 Wt: 185

Doron Lamb’s teammate from Oak Hill, Smith is a versatile inside-out player that is an excellent defender on the block.

Harrison Barnes (5 Star)
Ht: 6-6 Wt: 190

The number 1 small forward prospect in the class of 2010, Barnes is a versatile play-maker that loves the mid-range game, as well as taking the ball to the rack.   Even though Duke & Kansas are considered the leaders, UK has made a strong push in the last month and with Calipari – you never know.
